Feminist Solidarity Forum - PANEL 3

Panel 3 of the Feminist Solidarity Forum was about female leadership in rural areas and functional models. It was the panel of the „3 Sile's”, as the moderator of the panel Andreea Fedor, Vice President of Romanian Women's LOBBY, started the session.

- Mr. Vasile Avădănei, from the Centrul de Incubare Creativ-Inovativ de Afaceri - Cicia came with an "Example of good practices on personal development of Roma women". He was the trainer of the personal development events held this year with Roma women from Crăcăoani, Neamt county, events held within the project ‘GLORIA - feminism and strategic approach of gender equality’.
- We continued with Mrs Irina Sile, Executive Director of the Corona Foundation, who spoke about „Women entrepreneurship, an accelerator for the development of rural communities”. Corona Foundation implements the project "Solidarity in the territory of Ștefan cel Mare LAG" POCU/827/5/2/139382, funded by the European Social Fund, Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, Priority Axis 5, in which they developed 10 businesses in rural and small urban communities of LAG Ștefan cel Mare, 10 businesses that mean an extra chance for them to prosper and generate wealth for the inhabitants. The businesses respond to the needs of the communities and make use of local resources: village transport, hairdressing, manicure-pedicure, construction work, vulcanisation, coffee shops and furniture production. It's true, you can do a lot with a little if you have the will, confidence and enthusiasm. With determination and enthusiasm, the experts of the Corona Foundation and LAG Ștefan cel Mare teams are also equipped. Together, they have helped entrepreneurs to start their businesses, overcome their own barriers and find their own solutions.
- The President of the Inovatrium Association, Mr. Sile Moldovan, spoke to us about „Women leadership - impact on business and community growth”. Inovatrium Association is developing the first integrated support program for entrepreneurs, a program dedicated to financing business ideas for people in vulnerable situations, which has gradually become the space for the development of entrepreneurs with impact.

Three presentations with many examples of activities that women leaders and others in Romania are successfully carrying out and contributing to the development of rural communities.

The event took place within the project 'GLORIA - feminism and the strategic approach of gender equality', carried out with the financial support of Active Citizens Fund România, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the SEE 2014-2021.
